Vol. 288 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pupil Grants.

25.

asked the Minister for Education why the Douglas School Management Committee receive only £2 per pupil grant while the Killorglin Committee get £7; and the reason for the difference.

Douglas national school is vested in the Minister for Education. The maintenance of national schools so vested is discharged by the Office of Public Works and a reduced capitation grant of £2.00 is payable in these cases.

Killorglin national school is vested in trustees and the capitation grant at the full rate of £6.00 is payable.
