May I ask the Taoiseach if and when it is intended to resume the Second Stage of Item No. 17 on the Order Paper—the Anti-Discrimination (Pay) (Amendment) Bill, 1975?
As the Deputy knows, it is clear that we have had a particular result from the Commission in Brussels. I would be hoping to make a statement in the House shortly on this matter.
Might I ask the Minister further if he is not aware that there is a lot of confusion and frustration about the present position regarding this Bill having been introduced and still being on the Order Paper of the House?
I am not aware of any confusion from trade union or management sources in this matter.
