Vol. 298 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Transport Service.

56.

asked the Minister for Education why free transport facilities have been stopped for a child (details supplied) in County Meath who has had free transport for the past two years with two other children of the same family.

Free transport has been restored for this child. I understand that his name was inadvertantly omitted from the requisition for free transport.

57.

asked the Minister for Education if he will have a school transport service provided to Heronstown national school, County Meath, in view of the fact that there are 11 children attending the school who live more than two miles away; and if he is aware that a school bus passes this school each day on its way to other schools.

This matter is under consideration in my Department. I will let the Deputy know the outcome in due course.
