I am informed by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána that Garda patrols in all areas have instructions to visit late-night petrol stations in the course of their patrols. Moreover, the Garda Crime Prevention Unit arranges lectures for groups of garage managers from various parts of the country who are given advice on security measures at their premises.
