Vol. 300 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dublin Army Barracks.

339.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware of the considerable inconvenience caused to residents of married quarters in Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, by reason of the inadequacy of water supplies and the poor repair of roadways; and how soon remedial action will be taken.

The water supply to the barracks, including the married quarters, is at present being examined by my Department, in consultation with Dublin Corporation, with a view to having an improvement effected. The corporation have been requested to carry out as soon as possible certain tests at hydrants in order to determine the general condition of the water mains at the barracks.

A contract for the resurfacing of certain roads at the barracks was recently placed by the Department.
