asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals from Meath County Council before his Department for (a) housing schemes (b) group water schemes (c) road improvement schemes (d) mains water supply schemes (e) sewerage schemes (f) other road transportation and safety schemes (g) other environment protection schemes and (h) recreation and amenity schemes at 11th October 1977 and at the present time; and in each case the nature of the proposal when it was received and when it was or will be sanctioned.
Written Answers. - Meath County Council Proposals.

No proposals from Meath County Council for (a) housing schemes (c) road improvement schemes (d) mains water supply schemes (f) other road transportation and safety schemes (g) other environment protection schemes and (h) recreation and amenity schemes were under consideration in my Department on 11th October, 1977. No further proposals have been received from the County Council since then for any of these schemes.
(b) Group Water Schemes.
Statistics regarding group water supply schemes in each county are compiled on a quarterly basis. At 30th September, 1977 the position regarding group water supply scheme proposals in County Meath was as follows:
—15 schemes comprising 441 houses were in progress;
—3 schemes comprising 149 houses had been allocated grants (work may commence on these schemes at any time);
— 7 schemes to serve 413 houses had been designed; and
— 59 schemes to serve an unknown number of houses were at earlier stages (survey, location and testing of source et cetera).
The information requested by the Deputy in relation to each of the 84 schemes involved is not immediately available in my Department.
(e) Sewerage Schemes.
