I am not clear as to what proposed EEC grading system the Deputy has in mind. In the general fruit and vegetable sector there is an established set of EEC grading standards and I am not aware of any further proposals nor of any specific problem relating to sizes. In the potato sector there is a draft of an EEC common organisation of the market which is still under discussion. It includes provision for grading standards but there are no proposals yet as to what these will be.
