Vol. 302 No. 10

Written Answers. - Civil Service Commission.

65.

asked the Minister for the Public Service if he is aware that job applicants to the Civil Service Commission from rural areas are very often called for interview in Dublin during the morning thus necessitating the expense of an overnight stay in Dublin; and if he will ensure that this consideration is borne in mind in the future by the Civil Service Commission when arranging interviews.

I am informed by the Civil Service Commissioners that the practice is to have the interview, wherever possible, at a time of the day which avoids the need for an overnight stay in Dublin.
