My Department is awaiting a report from the Commissioners of Public Works regarding the suitability of the prefabricated unit which the reverend chairman has provided at Fenor National School. When this report is available consideration will be given to the question of allowing a grant towards the cost involved.

asked the Minister for Education if he will provide the necessary finance for the permanent extension required for Fenor National School, County Waterford, which has been sanctioned since 1975.
The question of providing the required permanent accommodation in an extended building on the existing school site, or the erection of a completely new school on a new site is being considered. When this question has been decided and the planning of the scheme has reached the stage when sketch plans are approved, a grant towards the cost of the work will be sanctioned.
