Vol. 303 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Donegal School.

277.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need to provide proper shelter in the grounds of the boys' national school, Letterkenny, County Donegal; and if, in view of the fact that the parents are prepared to raise a reasonable amount of the cost, he will consider providing a grant to help towards it.

Outdoor shelters are not provided at national schools in which there are general purposes rooms.

Letterkenny boys' national school has a general purpose room and, accordingly, a grant would not be admissible towards the cost of erection of a shelter in the school grounds.

In view of the fact that my Special Notice Question about the closure of Van Hool McArdle was disallowed would I, I wonder, have your permission to raise the matter on the Adjournment this evening?

I will communicate with the Deputy.
