The Deputy will, I am sure, understand that my responsibilities extend only to some elements of Ireland's natural resources.
The proposals referred to in the question constitute an expression of general policy which will influence my approach, and that of other Ministers as well, to developments in the natural resources area. However, such a wide area of activities is encompassed in the policy statement that it would be clearly impossible at this stage to indicate dates for the implementation of special projects. This will be announced as progress is made.
Is there any indication as yet that we will have amending legislation relating to natural resources and particularly mineral resources?
That is a separate question and the Minister need not answer it.
