The Labour Exchanges in Dublin have ceased to handle job vacancies for a number of years since the establishment of the National Manpower Service Office in O'Connell Bridge House. Any occasional vacancies notified to the exchanges are accordingly referred by them to the NMS Office for attention.
The total number of vacancies notified to the NMS Office in 1977 was 9,622.
