I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the vacant Jacobson Fasteners factory at Bandon is being vigorously promoted both at home and aboard as a location for a suitable new industry. In recent months the factory has been visited by a number of overseas industrialists but no firm proposals have emerged so far. The IDA will continue their efforts to secure a project for the factory.
