Vol. 304 No. 9

Written Answers. - Sligo Flooding.

342.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the serious flooding of lands in the Bunduff area of County Sligo and the periodic flooding of the public road between Bundoran and Mullaghmore, due to the continuous silting up of the river which drains Bunduff lake where it enters the sea; if he will make money available to keep the mouth of this river free from silting.

The Bunduff River is a small catchment not included in the settled priority lists and accordingly there is no proposal at present to drain it.

It is not possible to forecast when it might be reached in the national arterial drainage programme.
