I am aware of the difficulties being experienced in the Youghal area and I can assure the Deputy that my Department, together with the Department of Labour and the Industrial Development Authority, are taking all possible steps to preserve employment in existing industry in the town.
The Industrial Development Authority are actively promoting Youghal as a location for new industry and will support any suitable project proposed for the area.
