I have set up a commission to consider, report and make recommendations on industrial relations. The commission is being invited to make an interim report on the Labour Court and it will also have the opportunity of submitting interim reports on particular issues coming within its mandate.
In the light of the commission's recommendations, I shall examine what needs to be done with regard to industrial relations. If, in advance of the commission's reports, the opportunity arises of effecting improvements in agreement with ICTU and the employer organisations, I shall take whatever initiatives may be necessary.
