: In the 1976-77 academic year 26.7 per cent of the full-time day students in the colleges of the National University of Ireland and Trinity College, Dublin, were in receipt of assistance under the higher education grants scheme administered by the local authorities and the scholarship schemes administered by my Department. Figures for the present academic year are not yet available.
