: Pupils are obliged statutorily to attend school until the end of the quarter when they reach the age of 15 years. It is not possible from the statistics available in my Department to provide accurate data on school leavers classified by age at the time of leaving school. The following figures in regard to school enrolment by age group at 15, 16, 17 years on 30 September 1977, is, however, given for the Deputy's information:
