: The purpose of the accelerated EEC Commission study of "cereal substitutes" is to enable a full assessment to be made of all aspects of the matter with a view to having an early decision taken on any measures which may be deemed appropriate. Irish representatives will, of course, participate in Community discussions on the matter as they arise so as to ensure that any decisions eventually taken will be in the best interests of Irish grain growers and livestock producers.
