: The Forest and Wildlife Service of my Department do not compile statistics relating to export of forest produce. During the year ended 31 December 1977 the service sold wood from State forests to the value of £420,000 to purchasers domiciled outside the State. While most of this material consisted of thinnings the exact proportion of such material is not readily ascertainable.
