I am aware that some schools have been making contributions from the school account towards the Catholic Primary School Managers' Association at the rate of 5p per pupil. In a circular letter issued by my Department in May 1978 the management authorities of national schools were informed that contributions or subscriptions to managerial associations or representative bodies may not be paid out of the school account.
