While I am aware of the reasons why the scheme is considered important locally the local authority's proposals for the scheme must be considered in the context of the amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the large number of such schemes in or getting to construction at present. I cannot say at this stage when I will be in a position to approve this scheme the contract documents for which are under consideration in my Department.
