With regard to primary schools, it would not be possible in the time available to prepare the data requested by the Deputy. It will be forwarded to him as soon as possible.

Information relating to the number and names of second-level schools is published annually by my Department. A copy of the latest report will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.

The number of teachers in comprehensive and community schools is set out in the attached tabular statement. In the case of the vocational schools, the number of teachers, by committee area only, is given in the statement as teachers are assigned to the area as a whole and not specifically by school.

Data in respect of Third Level institutions relates to 1977/78.

After 16 months of persistent representations through the normal channels to improve the telephone facilities in Room No. 115 of this House where seven Oireachtas Members carry out their work, I was forced to put on the Order Paper a question which you, Sir, have disallowed.

The Deputy may not make a speech.

I have persistently availed of the normal channels over the past 16 months and the normal channels are found wanting, to put it mildly. After that period it is quite justifiable for me as a Member of this House to put down the question, which I tabled last week and which you disallowed, regarding the facilities for Deputies and Senators in Room No. 115.

The Deputy is completely out of order.

I am never out of order.

The Deputy may not continue discussing a question that was ruled out.

The Deputy will resume his seat.

I am quite justified in putting down a question regarding facilities for Deputies and Senators in Room 115.

The Deputy may not continue discussing a question that was ruled out.
