asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission will acquire the following estates: the Hegarty estate, Ballinskeagh, Delvin, County Westmeath, 170 acres; the Dunne estate, Bracklyn, Mullingar, County Westmeath, 90 acres; the Sallyview estate, Bracklyn, Mullingar, County Westmeath, 77 acres; the Tiernan estate, Crownstown, Delvin, County Westmeath, 300 acres; and the Cunningham estate, Rickardstown, Collinstown, County Westmeath, 210 acres.

The position in regard to the estates mentioned is as follows: Hegarty (now Traynor)—the Land Commission have no proceedings for acquisition but the case is being kept under review; Dunne—compulsory acquisition proceedings are in progress but it is not possible to say what the outcome will be; Sallyview—agreement on price has been reached for the purchase by the Land Commission of 76 acres; Tiernan and Cunningham—the Land Commission have decided to take no action towards acquisition.
