andMr. Clinton asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will give an analysis by industrial sector, or by occupation, of the live register of unemployed at Maynooth, County Kildare, Gardiner Street, and Werburg Street, Dublin, employment office catchment areas for mid-November 1978 or the latest available date, and for the same period during the previous year; and if he will account for any significant changes between these dates.
Written Answers. - Live Register Figures.
: The latest figures available relate to an industrial analysis of the live register at the offices in question on mid-August 1978. This analysis and the corresponding figures for last year are set out in the following table.
The figures for the Dublin offices reflect the improved employment situation experienced at the national level and call for no particular comment. The increase in the figures for the Maynooth office is largely attributable to the closure of a particular firm in that locality at the end of July this year.
