The planning of a major extension to the secondary school at the Mercy Convent, Dungarvan, County Waterford, is at an advanced stage. Revised working drawings and cost proposals are being examined in conjunction with proposals for the phasing of the building work on the site which has limited scope for expansion. It is hoped that it will be possible to proceed to the next stage of the planning, namely, the preparation of the bill of quantities, early in the new year.
