The consortium holding blocks off the east coast, which are located in the Kish Bank Basin, are committed to having an exploration well drilled during 1979 or, if a well is not drilled, to making a payment to the State. The consortium are at present endeavouring to conclude arrangements for having a well drilled during the coming season. I am anxious to have further drilling carried out in the area and I intend to pursue any reasonable possibilities that may be open for this purpose.
