asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that four portakabins at a school (details supplied) are now in disuse for some time and that the school authorities have asked for them to be removed on a number of occasions without success; that they are continuously being vandalised and if in the circumstances he will make immediate arrangements for them to be removed from the school or alternatively make them available for removal and use by bona fide community organisations.

As the Commissioners of Public Works consider that the prefabricated units in question are no longer suitable for school use on the present site or elsewhere, no objection will be offered by my Department to the school authorities disposing of the units in such manner and for such purposes as they are fit provided, of course, their disposal comprehends their removal from the school site.
