Any person who is due a grant under the farm modernisation scheme may obtain the payment by calling to the head offices of the Department at Kildare Street, Dublin 2. Anyone wishing to avail of this facility is required to give at least 24 hours' advance notice to the Department, to produce satisfactory evidence of identity on arrival, and to sign a form of receipt for the payment.
Alternatively the participant may authorise a named third party to collect the payment on his or her behalf, subject to the same conditions, and, additionally, to production of the authorisation for inspection by an officer of the Department.
