The Advisory Group on Franco-Irish Sports Exchanges met on 7 November 1978 and presented a set of proposals to my Department. Arising out of a meeting of the Franco-Irish Working Group for co-operation in the field of youth and sport held in Dublin of 11 January 1979 a programme of exchanges based on the advisory groups proposals for 1979 was drawn up and agreed upon. This programme is now being carried out as arranged.
