asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of money contributed by Ireland to (a) the World Food Programme each year from 1960 to 1978 inclusive, and (b) the Food Aid Convention each year from 1973 inclusive, stating the amount separately each year for the World Food Programme and the Food Aid Convention, the amount paid in cash and the amount used to purchase Irish commodities.

(a) The World Food Programme commenced in 1962. The requested details for that and subsequent years are as follows:

(b) Food Aid Convention: Because of procedural difficulties no contributions were made by Ireland in 1973 and 1974. Contributions for 1975 and subsequent years were all paid in cash. Details are as follows:
