Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

132.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephone service in the Kilnamanagh Estate, Tallaght, County Dublin and when service will be provided.

The number is about 350. Service will be provided when the necessary cabling becomes available in the first half of 1980.

133.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will expedite the conversion of the telephone system in Roscrea, County Tipperary, to automatic working without delay.

Conversion of Roscrea exchange to automatic working is dependent on the provision of a new trunk switching exchange at Portlaoise, which is expected to be available by the end of this year. Conversion of Roscrea to automatic working will follow quickly after that.
