RTE say that while reception on medium wave in parts of County Mayo may be less than adequate, because of the distance from the low powered transmitters used for the service, satisfactory reception should be possible on VHF in these areas. They emphasise that to obtain good VHF reception an external aerial may be necessary. If the Deputy supplies details to RTE of any individuals whose VHF reception of Radio na Gaeltachta is less than satisfactory they will be happy to investigate the matter further.
RTE have no plans to provide a transmitter at Bangor Erris.
