I have seen the press report in question. I expect to receive very soon a report from the committee which I set up to review the town gas industry which involves consideration of the question of a natural gas grid. I am aware that Bord Gáis Éireann have been considering this question and they will also be reporting shortly to me. In the foregoing circumstances I consider the remarks, as reported, inappropriate at this time. I will give careful consideration to this issue when I have received and studied the reports to which I have referred.
