It is not the IDA's practice to disclose the reasons governing decisions on grant applications in individual cases.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the total amount given in IDA grants to a company (details supplied) since 1970 and the criteria which made this company eligible for such grants.
I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the sum of £179,733 in IDA grants has been paid to this company to date. This information was published in the IDA Annual Report for 1978.
The Industrial Development Authority have advised that they have drawn up no special sectoral criteria for projects of this kind and that they considered that the industrial undertaking promoted by this company conformed with the relevant provisions of the Industrial Development Acts.
