I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they have reached agreement for a new industry to be located in the vacant 300 sq. metre temporary factory at Tuamgraney pending completion of a 1,500 sq. metre factory at Scarriff.
The company, Soltauer Zinngiesserei Albrecht Roeders GmbH, Germany, expects to employ 15 persons initially in the manufacture of high quality pewter goods and has the potential to employ up to 100 persons within five years.
