There has been no meeting convened by my Department involving all the parties mentioned by the Deputy; nor is any such meeting planned. The position of the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway Company has, however, been the subject of consultation with the company and interim arrangements were made to ensure the continuity of road passenger services in the area served by the company pending a decision on the long-term arrangements for the maintenance of such services. Consideration of the question of the long-term arrangements is being pursued as quickly as possible.
