asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the deplorable conditions in relation to over-crowding and bad repair of the building at the national school, Ballintubber, Castlerea, County Roscommon; if, in view of the urgency of the situation, he will have a new school erected and if he will make a statement on the present position.

Approval has been given for the provision of a new school at Ballintubber, County Roscommon, and revised sketch-plans are at present being examined.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the future of Brideswell National School, County Roscommon.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been requested to have an inspection as to its suitability made of a proposed site at Curraghboy for a central school to replace Brideswell, Carrick and Lismoyle national schools.
