asked the Minister for Defence the current rates of pay and allowances payable to each grade of (a) officers and men in the Army, Naval Service and Air Corps, (b) if he will give details of the scheme whereby members of the defence forces may leave, by purchase and the cost of purchase for each rank in the forces.

Note:

Where a man has completed at least half of the term of his enlistment, the Adjutant General may, in certain circumstances, reduce the rate of payment by 1/20th for each completed year of service up to a maximum reduction of 50%.
