I understand that Dún Laoghaire Corporation have a proposal for a new fire station under consideration and that the project is at an advanced stage of planning. At the request of the corporation made on 27 July 1978 informal consultations on various aspects of this proposal have taken place between officials of the corporation and my Department. However, no firm indication of when the corporation intend to proceed with the project nor any proposal for approval to raise the necessary capital has, as yet, been received in my Department.
