asked the Minister for Agriculture the up-to-date position regarding the distribution of the estate of Padraig McCarthy at Abbeymahon, Timoleague, County Cork, in view of the reply to a parliamentary question on 24 October 1978 wherein it was stated that it was hoped to include the lands in the 1979 allotment programme when in fact they were let for 1979 and 1980.

It was not found possible to divide this estate in 1979. Plans for its disposal, in conjunction with other lands in possession of the Land Commission in the locality, are at present being prepared; some re-arrangement of local intermixed holdings is envisaged.
It is now expected that allotment will be possible later this year or early in 1981.
