While I am sympathetic to the idea of exhibiting works of art in public buildings occupied by my Department, there are practical considerations such as the availability of suitable space and proper conditions which would have to be borne in mind in achieving this ideal. It would of course be dependent on the advice of the Office of Public Works in this latter respect.
