asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a telephone installed immediately for a person (details supplied) in County Cork, whose business is being seriously affected by the lack of this facility.
Written Answers. - Telephone Service.
It is necessary to defer provision of service for all but top priority applications in the exchange area concerned because the exchange is fully loaded. It is expected that the application will be met within the next six months or so when additional exchange equipment has been provided and many earlier applications have been attended to.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the telephone exchanges he intends to convert to automatic working in each of the next two years.
It is intended to have 18 exchanges converted to automatic working between now and 30 June 1981 and 200 in the following twelve months. With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to have a list of these exchanges circulated with the Official Report.
