Vol. 322 No. 10

Written Answers. - Navan School Accommodation.

296.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the serious situation in St. Oliver Plunkett national school, Blackcastle, Navan, County Meath, where 70 pupils were refused enrolment this year due to lack of accommodation and that a survey carried out by the parents in the area shows that there will be 79 pupils for enrolment in 1981, 93 in 1982, 81 in 1983, 93 in 1984, and 70 in 1985 and the action he proposes to take to remedy the position immediately.

My Department are at present awaiting the views of the school management on proposals recently put to them as to how best the accommodation needs of St. Oliver Plunkett's national school, Blackcastle, Navan, County Meath can be met.
