I am not so aware. Herd numbers are allocated solely for disease eradication purposes. The allocation of these numbers is not refused in cases where it is established that the herds are maintained and managed separately, without intermixing of stock from other herds, and that suitable facilities are provided to enable the cattle to be tested under the disease eradication schemes.
