Vol. 322 No. 11

Written Answers. - Payment of Grants.

46.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant has not yet been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

A grant cannot be approved or paid in this case until an inspection has been carried out. In view of the large number of applications for house improvement grants being processed at present, it is not possible to say when the inspection can be arranged.

48.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There has been no delay in this case as the Deputy notified my Department only on 3 June that the work was complete. Arrangements are being made for an inspection with a view to payment of the grant.

49.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a solid fuel grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Information requested from this applicant with a view to establishing his eligibility for a grant has not been received in my Department.

51.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a solid fuel grant to a person (details supplied) in South West Cork; and when payment will issue.

Any delay in dealing with this case has been due to the unprecedented number of applications at present with my Department. The grant will be paid shortly.

52.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of the £1,000 new house grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in Waterford City.

A grant will be paid very shortly in this case.
