I beg leave to announce, for the information of the Dáil, that, having informed the President that Dáil Éireann had approved my nomination of Deputy Raphael P. Burke to be a member of the Government, the President yesterday appointed him accordingly; that, yesterday, I terminated the assignment of the Department of the Environment to Sylvester Barrett and assigned the Department of Defence to him and assigned the Department of the Environment to Raphael P. Burke; and that the Government have today appointed Deputy Denis Gallagher to be Minister of State at the Department of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
