: Grants allocated to Dublin Count Council for road works in 1979 and 1980 amounted to £5,162 million and £6,292 million respectively. The 1980 allocation includes a supplementary grant of £250,000 allocated in pursuance of the Government's undertaking in the national understanding to maintain and stimulate employment.
In 1979 the Council were paid £4,282,100 representing £2,953 million on foot of 1979 allocations and £1,329,100 on foot of pre-1979 allocations. In the period from 1 January 1980 to 30 September 1980 the council have been paid £3,811,511 being £2,400 million on foot of 1980 allocations and £1,411,511 on foot of pre-1980 allocations. Payments in each year are made in respect of returns of expenditure received from the council.
