asked the Taoiseach the legislative and law reform proposals the Government intend bringing before the Houses of the Oireachtas during this Parliamentary session.

: Notification of the Government's legislative programme will be given on the Order of Business each day and the usual advance notification will be given to the Opposition Whips by the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach.

: Does the Taoiseach see any advantage accruing from the possibility of giving us an indication of the kind of programme he has in mind for the next session?

: That has already been done.

: Does the Taoiseach recall that as Minister for Health and Social Welfare he gave a commitment at that time to the House that a new Children's Bill would be introduced before the end of 1979? Can he now guarantee that such a Bill will be introduced in this session?

: I cannot give any guarantee. We hope shortly to be able to publish the report of the task force which I think the Deputy will agree is at least a step forward. Unfortunately, that report does not, as we had hoped, include draft legislation.
