asked the Minister for Finance whether he will take steps to make sheltered accommodation available for the gardaí on security duty at both entrances to Leinster House.
Written Answers. - Leinster House Garda Accommodation.
372.
Since 1978 suggestions that sheltered accommodation should be made available for the gardaí on duty at the entrances to Leinster House have been examined on a number of occasions but were not proceeded with because of security considerations. The Commissioners of Public Works are examining what can be done to meet a recent recommendation by the Garda Síochána that shelters should be provided. Proposals will be subject to clearance by the Leinster House authorities.
